The Habilitation Team are now planning this year’s summer activity scheme. It will run from 22nd July 2019 – 26th July 2019  at Priestley Smith School, but it is open to visually impaired pupils from schools across the city. Places are available to visually impaired pupils from school years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 (other pupils at the discretion of the Habilitation Service). The scheme has only a limited number of places and they are being offered on a first come, first serve basis

If your child would like to attend this years play scheme please return their initial forms by no later than mid June 2019 to secure a place. We are still planning activities so forms are not ready yet.

Remaining forms and payment must be made before the end of term. There will be a charge of £10.00 per day, to include transport for your child. If you are able to transport your child to and from home the cost will be reduced to £5.00 per day.

Activities will take place between 10.00am and 2.00pm each day unless otherwise stated. Details of activities will be sent out at a later date but is likely to include swimming, sports and arts activities. There are no alternative activities, so your child must be able to participate in what is on offer each day. Children do not need to attend every day if the activities are inappropriate for them.Cold drinks will be provided throughout the sessions. Each child will need a packed lunch with them each day they attend, unless we let you know otherwise.

They will be qualified first aiders on site but no school nurse. The Habilitation Officers will be happy to discuss the Scheme, concerns about individual children or transport issues with parents on 0121 325 3904. In the mean time, please return the form as soon a possible if you are interested in a place for your child on all or some of the days.
