The Allotment

Priestley Smith has started a new venture this week,  with the acquisition of an allotment.

It will want some work doing on it,  before pupils are really able to benefit,  but the possibilities are enormous.

Jolly postman

Writing week was the book The Jolly Postman

The Jolly postman was a real hit with the children they all loved doing role play and pretending to be a postman in Lower juniors. Infants enjoyed creating letters and posting them to their friends. Upper juniors went to the post office and sent letters in the post!

Before the half term holiday the primary department took part in a range of activities to raise money for our chosen charity Oxfam. The pupils raised a grand total of £118 and each class chose which gift items they would like to buy. The Foundation Stage chose honey bees, Infants chose a goat, Lower Juniors chose a shelter, seeds and safe water, Upper Juniors chose mother and baby care, a toilet and to feed a family. An amazing result! Thank you to everyone for your support.
