The Secondary Maths department offers a wide range of qualifications to suit a whole range of abilities. Courses range from Entry Level and GCSE to the more practically Functional Skills.

Large print, Braille and tactile resources are used in order to facilitate pupils’ access to the curriculum. In recent moths some exceptional pupils have been ‘fast tracked’ through the GCSE course a year early in order for them to gain the best possible results.

In Key Stage 3 all pupils follow the National Curriculum framework but with adaptions to the style and presentation of the content in order to meet the visual and learning needs of the pupils.

Some specialist resources include an entire GCSE text in Braille, over sized 2D and 3d shapes, pin boards and tactile protractors for drawing angles.
